What counts as urgent
- Door stuck open – the house isn't secure, especially overnight.
- Car trapped inside – you need to get to work, school or an appointment.
- Snapped spring or cable – the door is unsafe and can drop.
- Door off its track or hanging – after a car bump, a storm or a cable failure.
- Storm damage – panels pushed in, tracks bent or the door blown out of its guides.
What to do while you wait
- Keep children, pets and cars well clear of the door.
- Don't try to lift a door with a broken spring, and don't run the motor on it.
- If the door is stuck open and you're leaving the house, lock the internal door into the home.
- If the power is out and the door is otherwise fine, use the manual release cord (usually a red handle).
How we handle urgent calls
Tell us it's urgent when you call. We'll ask a few quick questions, give you an arrival time, and the first priority on site is making the door safe and getting your car out. Then we'll give you a fixed price for the permanent fix, and in most cases complete it on the same visit from the parts we carry.
Where we work
We provide urgent same-day repairs right across the Gold Coast from our workshop in Parkwood. Choose your suburb for local details:
Urgent Same-Day Repairs: common questions
Do you do same-day garage door repairs on the Gold Coast?
Yes. Urgent jobs such as doors stuck open, trapped cars and broken springs are prioritised the same day, between 7am and 9pm.
Is it safe to use my garage door after a spring breaks?
No. Keep clear and don't run the motor. The spring holds the door's weight, and without it the door can fall.
Do you charge more for urgent repairs?
You'll get a fixed price on site before any work starts, so you know the cost upfront.
